St. Louis Pregnancy Photographer | Expecting Keegan Music Video
February 10, 2012
This fall, I had the pleasure to capture this wonderful family who was expecting their fourth child. We had hoped to get outside, but weather put a stop to that. We were still able to get some beautiful portraits of the wonder of pregnancy at their home, where it was dry and warm! Enjoy the music video. Keegan’s newborn music video soon to follow!

O’Fallon Infant Photographer | One Month Young!
February 6, 2012
This lil’ sweetie joined her family a month ago and is already accustomed to this crazy world. She’s SO content and laid back, which I believe she gets from her parents. Her three sisters adore her and are really a big help to mommy. Can you imagine your children fighting over who gets to change a diaper?! AMAZING! Danielle slept peacefully and gave me lots of special treats that are only cute coming from an adorable infant!
Getting messed on is just one of those job hazards and something I totally don’t mind. So worth getting those prized portraits! We totally lucked out with weather today as we got to get outside for a few images at the very end of Danielle’s newborn portrait session at her house! Crazy to be able to do that at the beginning of February, but I’m not complaining one bit as I love getting portraits of lil’ ones surrounded by mother nature and it always results in beautiful images. Enjoy the sneak peek! Can’t wait for you to see the rest.
Introducing…ME!
February 4, 2012
This week’s photo challenge was to take a self portrait. I really procrastinated on doing this task, as I really didn’t want to get in front of the camera, but I finally accomplished the feat this morning. So….Ta Da…here I am! Oh, and if you’re wondering why I’m laughing…well, I was sitting in front of the windows by our entranceway and the mailman walked by and saw me. I can only imagine what it must’ve looked like from his perspective and just had to laugh at myself. Caught in the act of self portraits!
Caseyville Newborn Photographer | Six Days Young
January 28, 2012
I had the honor to capture lil’ Keegan this morning just a day shy of his week birthday. He is such a good baby – sleeps really well, doesn’t complain too much except for when hungry and just goes with the flow. I suppose that with three siblings he has to learn quickly how to adapt.
The last time I saw this lil’ man he was still in his mommy’s belly during their maternity photography session. The miracle of life is just amazing! Enjoy the sneak peek!
St. Louis Infant Photographer | Andy’s Music Video

Andy was a joy to capture, especially since he’s the son of a friend of mine.
Beautiful family J! So happy for you. Enjoy your music video.
St. Louis Child Photographer | Framed
January 27, 2012
I took this set of images of my lil’ Lily around Thanksgiving time, but just now got around to editing them. I just love the different expressions she gave me. I had made this tee pee the day before and really wanted to test it out. I had made a lot of different covers for this fun prop/play area, but chose this one as I thought it worked well with the time of year and with Lily’s outfit. I love the images I got of her on this day. Luckily, this set of portraits works for this week’s photography challenge of “framed” that I’m doing along with several other photographers as well. I just love it when things work out like that!

St. Louis Maternity Photography | Pregnancy Glow
January 24, 2012
I just love the glow that women get in pregnancy and when you add just the perfect lighting during those magical hours of the day, it’s just heavenly! This portrait session took place in August. We had a brutally hot summer and we delayed this session a little bit for the safety of baby and mommy, as the original scheduled portrait day was 114 degrees with the heat index. The morning of this session was perfect though. Cooler temps, beautiful early morning sun and comfy subjects produced some beautiful maternity portraits for this family! We were able to mix two different styles into this session outdoors as mom-to-be wanted beautiful images surrounded in nature and dad-to-be wanted more dramatic images of his beautiful wife. Luckily we were able to do both all at one location! I think it turned out beautifully. Enjoy!

The Beauty of Pink Noise
January 20, 2012
So, I had two photo challenges this week with various photographers – “framed” and then “shallow depth of field.” Since I was limited on time this week, I did one photo that suits both of those themes. Pink Noise! I used to have a noise machine that I used at all my newborn portrait sessions, but I now have an app on my iPhone that I use instead. It’s quite magical actually. It basically makes infants (and sometimes parents) fall into a deep sleep while canceling out other noises (like my camera clicking away). There are other sounds I can choose from with this app and I can even mix and match, but so far, pink noise seems to be a winner. What a great tool to have in my bag!

Frontenac Newborn Photographer | Christmas Baby
January 16, 2012
This lil’ man belongs to one of my good friends from my video producing days. When I heard that his son arrived on Christmas, I couldn’t be more thrilled. Baby A’s daddy had always been so good to me and it was such an honor to capture his lil’ one this afternoon. When I walked into baby Andy’s room, I saw him laying in his crib and my immediate thought was, “What a cute baby doll!” I literally thought that he was his big sister’s doll. Well, I was right, but it wasn’t a toy baby, but a real one. He’s so adorable and just perfect in every way. J and M couldn’t be luckier parents and I know big sister will be such a good guide to this lil’ man through the journey of life. She’s already lending a helping hand and you can tell that she just adores her baby brother. Enjoy the sneak peek and congrats my friend. I’m so happy for you and your growing family.
St. Louis Infant Photographer | Delicate
January 12, 2012
Well, it’s now week two of the 52 week challenge that I’m doing with a group of fellow photographers. The theme for today is “delicate” and what’s more fitting than a newborn curled up just like in the womb?! Ahhh…those toes, those fingers, that mouth, that whispy hair….pure love.
Check out the next photographer in our circle for her take on delicate!
