Baby Boy in Blue – Four Weeks Old!

April 24, 2013

This lil’ man was born a month ago and was such a delight to capture for his infant portraits at his home in University City, MO. He is so laid back, which I think he gets from the calmness of his parents. I was very impressed with his flexibility and how deep he sleeps. Once he is out, he is OUT! How lucky for these parents! Dad got to come home from work for a little bit to partake in the photo session. So happy that he was able to break away as it allowed us to get some beautiful father/son and family portraits. I can’t wait to share more images from baby R’s session as there are many that just melt my heart and make me want another baby. Portraits of Two Generations of Sisters in St. Louis

April 14, 2013

I think it’s so special to capture all the various family aspects of a family, so I was excited to capture this group of gals! Two generations of sisters! I know that the two little ones will use their mom and aunt as role models as they grow up together. We chose this location in St. Louis due to the history and architecture of the homes. As the sun started to set, we were also able to go into a local park for some beautiful portraits surrounded by nature. It really was the best of both worlds and so fitting for these ladies. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Spring Daffodils Make Beautiful Portraits in St. Louis!

April 8, 2013

Last night I took my daughter back to the daffodil field and got a few portraits of her among all the beautiful flowers. The weather was completely different than the night before and we ended up running to take cover from the rain. My daughter and I still had a lot of fun and she was thrilled to be surrounded by the gorgeous surroundings. She collected a few flowers for her daddy, which now sit proudly in a vase in our kitchen. SO happy to have Spring finally here!

Beautiful Spring Pregnancy Portraits in St. Louis

April 7, 2013

Ahhhh! Spring is finally here! After the big snow we had here in St. Louis a couple of weeks ago, I was a bit worried that we wouldn’t have pretty blossoming landscape like this mom-to-be wanted for her maternity portraits. During my location scout earlier in the week, I came across this field of daffodils and knew that we would have to use this beautiful backdrop for her portrait session! This couple’s love for each other is so apparent and sweet to witness. Pregnancy is such an exciting time and I’m sure they are cherishing these moments leading up to meeting their son next month. Congratulations you two! I can’t wait to capture your baby boy!

Lovely Spring Family Portraits in Clayton, MO

April 6, 2013

I adore this family! I’ve been capturing them since their first boy was born, so they hold a special place in my heart. They have so much fun with each other and their energy and love really shows. I love how their outfits coordinate well together. The colors really pop with the colors of early Spring. During their portrait session, the littlest man got sleepy and it worked out nicely as we got some really sweet cuddle and nap time images of him. I just love sleeping babies. So pure and peaceful! He was awoken by his big brother and then it was back to play. Tis the life of a family! Enjoy.

Fun St. Louis Child Portraits in the Snow

March 27, 2013

I adore snow and even though it’s Spring right now, I was still giddy with excitement when we recently got a big snow fall here in St. Louis. I decided that I wanted to capture the beauty that I was seeing. Here are just a few of my favorite images that I took over the last few days. My daughter was excited to get dressed up and get some images in the snow. Of course, we packed up her snow gear so that we could go straight to the hills for some sledding afterwards, but this was a nice way to take advantage of the stunning landscape mother nature had given us! Enjoy!

This past week, I headed to Carmel, IN to meet up with a couple of fellow photographers. Dawnn Wiesinger, of  The Picket Fence, hosted us for a couple days at her beautiful home and studio, which was such a treat. While there, I got to take some pictures of my lil’ Lily. She told me that she felt like a super model. Gottta love that! Thanks again Dawnn for inviting us to your home and for being a great hostess.
