OK, so I know we’re in winter now, but I thought I’d warm things up with a look at a family portrait session from this summer. This family was so much fun to photograph and they were such troopers dealing with the St. Louis July heat. We got up super early to get that gorgeous light and to get the coolest temps of the day. Totally worth it even though we were all pretty much drenched by the end of the session. (You’d never know from looking at these images though) These portraits just make me smile. Ezra was four days old during his newborn photography session and was quite the hungry man, but sooooooo cute and lovable! His parents are doing a great job with their new lil’ baby boy and he’s taking on traits from his parents already. He’s not a morning person, he likes the sounds of nature and he’s just simply beautiful. I’m sure this family will have a lot of fun together on their adventures and I know that he’ll take to the water just like mommy and daddy – he already loves his baths. I can just picture him on a board, surfing the waves, when he’s a bit older. Congrats and enjoy the music video.

I met baby Ezra when he was still in his mommy’s belly during her maternity portrait session this Fall and today I had the honor to capture his newborn portraits at the young age of four days. He was a hungry lil’ man, but still allowed us to get some adorable images of him. He’s so cute with that black hair and he makes the most adorable sounds. We did learn a few things about this young man today; he doesn’t especially enjoy tummy time, he really loves being swaddled, he loves it when daddy walks with him using short baby steps and he seems to like the sound of the ocean. His parents are glowing in their new roles and I’m sure this family will have a fun-filled future together. Enjoy the sneak peek!

This lil’ lady just celebrated her first birthday two days ago! Isn’t she just the cutest? I love her lil’ teeth and big blue eyes. She’s quite the happy baby and I know it’s going to be such a fun Christmas this year for this family. Maddie will probably be more into the paper, bows and boxes, but she will enjoy all the festivities for sure. Happy Birthday and Happy Holidays!

Maddie greeted me at the door with a big smile and those big blue eyes. Such a cutie that was fun to capture right before her first birthday next week. Her mom had ordered this tutu especially for the portrait session and it really was perfect for this lil’ beauty. Very fitting for a princess. Sydney had only been in the world for 7 days when I had the honor to capture some portraits of her and the family. She was so good for me and her parents seemed so relaxed and happy with their new daughter. It’s such a special and exciting time in a family’s life when welcoming in a newborn to the mix and it’s such privilege to be welcomed into their homes to photograph those moments. This lil’ handsome man was such a joy to capture. I had the pleasure to photograph him as a newborn as well and he’s still just as laid back as he was then. Very happy and content baby. This session took place on a HOT day this summer, so we cooled off indoors where there was air conditioning. Turned out perfectly! Don’t you just want to pinch those cheeks?!

Walter was such a joy to capture during his newborn photography session. He is lucky to have a big brother to show him the ropes of life. From what I understand, big brother is super lovable with the new baby in the house. What a lucky family! This will be a fun Thanksgiving and Christmas for sure with two young boys in the house. This beautiful lady is expecting another lil’ boy in just a couple of months. I had the pleasure to capture her last pregnancy with a maternity portrait session and it was such an honor to do it again a year and a half later! We were hoping to get outside in the heart of St. Louis City, but it a bit too wet and cold for the three lil’ ones in the family, so we opted to hold their session in the comfort of their home in Caseyville, IL. Worked out great and we got some beautiful images. Can’t wait to meet the lil’ man when he arrives! Congrats and enjoy the sneak peek.
