This family is so dear to my heart as I’ve been capturing them since their first son was born. Baby Myles looks so much like his big brother. It’s amazing to see these two together as you can tell how much they adore each other. Such a loving and fun family! Enjoy the music video.

It was a pleasure photographing lil’ Mr. Walt as I’ve been capturing his big brother since he was born! Ben loves his baby brother and gave lots of kisses. So sweet. Walt really loves being swaddled, which I remember his big brother liking as an infant as well. Can’t wait to share more, but these two will have to do for now. Enjoy!
Golden Eagle Family Portraits | Pure Beauty!

I adored this family and their portrait session that took place this summer. We got some amazingly beautiful images and you’d never know how hot it was! This session ALMOST didn’t happen as we had a lot of flooding in the St. Louis area during this time and the ferry to Golden Eagle was closed for some time. When it opened, it was technically still flooded and my car couldn’t get through the high water, so the girl’s daddy come across to St. Charles to pick me up since his vehicle sits higher and could make it through the deep water. It was quite the fun adventure and so worth the effort. This family now lives on the other side of the globe enjoying their own family adventure. I feel blessed to have them enter my life for the short amount of time I spent with them. I hope they will cherish these portraits for generations to come.

Bella’s portrait session with her family this Autumn was heavenly. Everything aligned up perfectly and this lil’ princess was a pure delight. I had the opportunity to photograph her earlier this year, which produced beautiful portraits in Clayton this summer. She was wonderful to capture back then, but she has obviously been practicing her modeling over the past few months because she just fell into poses by herself and warmed up to the whole process much quicker this time. She’s just the cutest. Her mom did a fabulous job once again on wardrobe for the whole family. I understand she spent hours at night looking for the perfect outfits and I have to say, it really paid off. I mentioned that I may need to hire her as my personal shopper. Don’t you agree? Enjoy the music video

I just adore this family and it’s been great to capture them through the years. Last year, there were three in this family and this year there’s four! The lil’ man had a difficult morning, but we still got some adorable images of him with his family. We started the session up on a hill so that we could capture some of the beautiful fall foliage on the hills across the way, but it started to get a bit too windy, which also made it chilly, so we finished the session at the bottom of the hill in the woods where it was much warmer and hardly even a breeze to speak of. Amazing what a simple change like that can do to one’s spirit. Mom and I spoke on the phone regarding the session and I mentioned that since they were wearing red, I had a little radio flyer tricycle and a red airplane I could bring and she mentioned that she was thinking of bringing a radio flyer wagon. Great minds think alike! All the red worked out beautifully against the Autumn colors. Enjoy the sneak peek!

This evening I had a portrait session that left me so inspired! I just love creating art and it’s energizing when all the scenes that I had envisioned in my head come out even better once captured by my camera. So many things were just perfectly aligned tonight – cute girl, gorgeous wardrobe, beautiful weather, lovely late afternoon light and great location. I scouted out this location yesterday and came across three areas that really caught my eye and I started planning this gorgeous family’s session in my head right away. The first image below was an area that I drive by all the time, but for some reason never really noticed until yesterday. When I saw it, I stopped my car, jumped out and looked at it from all angles. I was so excited about my find! Well, I have to tell you…I was even more excited once I snapped this portrait below. I just knew it was perfection. Thankfully Bella’s dad held the flash for me so that we could illuminate this lil’ beauty under the tree. A light stand would have tumbled into the water, so an assistant was dearly needed. Thank you so much. As you can tell, it was well worth it. Great job dad!

Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year and I just love the way these images reflect the beauty of the season. These lil’ ones were so much fun to photograph and I am so thankful that their dad made a makeshift tent out in the woods. Isn’t it the cutest? So much fun for a child to play and hang out on lazy days.

Editing some images and had to stop to share this one. I just adore this portrait. I saw the light hitting this fallen tree while setting up for another shot and could picture this exact capture. So, I stopped what I was doing, brought this cutie over to the area and grabbed this frame with my camera. Pure heaven to my eyes. Autumn is my favorite time of year and THIS is why. Look at those colors and that light. Mother nature at it’s finest. I actually dreamt about this location last night. More ideas brewing in my head…

I have a lot of photography ideas in my head – things that I would like to shoot and capture for myself and others. Well, I’ve decided to make those dreams come true, and so this weekend I did a shoot with this adorable model for my UP inspired shoot. I had this vision in my head ever since I saw the movie UP, so it’s about time it got captured with my camera. I think the purple just works so well against all the Autumn colors and I LOVE the looks on this lil’ beauty’s face. Isn’t she just the cutest? The location is a dream! So many options in this area and I’m so thankful for the R family for allowing me to not only use their children as models, but for letting me photograph on their property as well. Such a wonderful family that I feel blessed to have entered my life. Turns out that this image has sentimental meanings for this family as well, as mom and dad got engaged on a hot air balloon at sunrise in Colorado. Victoria’s mom said she got chills seeing her daughter in this image, as it brought back those memories. I just love it when images that I create can stir such emotions. Enjoy!
