I adore all the colors that Spring and early Summer gives us here in St. Louis! Gives us such pretty backdrops. This lil’ beauty was celebrating her first birthday and I had the privilege to capture portraits of this special milestone at a local park in Clayton, MO. Since one year olds are on the go, we set up a couple of set-ups for her to keep her entertained and happy during her session. Her outfit coordinated perfectly with the location and the balloons that we chose. And of course, what little girl doesn’t like a tea party! So touching and special to have the parents involved too! I can’t get over how fast babies grow. Seems like just yesterday that I captured her mom’s maternity portraits and then Miss S’s newborn portraits. Such a delightful family and little princess.
I have been looking for a field with wildflowers over the last few weeks, but due to the cooler temperatures we’ve had lately, things are blooming a bit later this year. I drove past this area less than a week ago in Florissant, MO and there weren’t any flowers. Two days ago I drove by this field again and was surprised to see these beautiful purple flowers. Amazing how quickly things sprout up! I knew that I wanted to capture the pretty pastels for this lil’ beauty’s customized portrait session as it was so fitting for her backdrop. The purple and white flowers work so well with the garland that I made for this vintage bassinet as well as the outfit that my client borrowed from me. It all worked out just beautifully. Miss “I” looks just like a porcelain doll and loved singing with her mom and me. Such a happy lil’ lady.

I can’t believe almost an entire year has gone by since I captured this family last. Their lil’ girl just celebrated her birthday last month and her brother is turning one! What a busy time of year for this family! We lucked out with the weather yesterday morning and even though the grass was quite wet from all the rain we’ve had recently in St. Louis, we were able to produce some beautiful family portraits! Enjoy the sneak peek. Many more to come.
This lil’ man was the perfect model during his first portrait session at this family’s home in University City, MO! I couldn’t get over how calm he was! Isn’t he just the cutest? I adore his perfectly round face and flawless skin. Congrats again mom and dad! Enjoy your music video. We got some wonderful portraits of your sweet baby boy!
I thought I’d liven up this rainy morning in St. Louis with some beautiful portraits, set to music, taken this past weekend of two generations of sisters. It was a gorgeous day and the location was perfectly fitting for this group of ladies. Lots of smiles and lovely cuddle moments. Enjoy!

I adore this family! I’ve been capturing them since their first boy was born, so they hold a special place in my heart. They have so much fun with each other and their energy and love really shows. I love how their outfits coordinate well together. The colors really pop with the colors of early Spring. During their portrait session, the littlest man got sleepy and it worked out nicely as we got some really sweet cuddle and nap time images of him. I just love sleeping babies. So pure and peaceful! He was awoken by his big brother and then it was back to play. Tis the life of a family! Enjoy.
Mr. M entered this world a mere six weeks ago and has captured the hearts of his parents (and kitties). He is pretty laid back, but we did find that he doesn’t like to be messed with and doesn’t really like having his diaper off or being on his belly. I really can’t blame the lil’ man though. We all have our own comfort levels after all…. He has the most beautiful long eyelashes and the perfect round face. He is just so sweet and makes you want to cuddle him. Look out mom and dad, I think that he’ll get away with a lot with those eyes and pouty lips. Congratulations on the arrival of your lil’ boy. He is absolutely a dream!
I’m looking forward to Spring just around the corner and so, I thought I’d share a family portrait session from last April to warm our souls on a windy and snowy day that we have today in St. Louis. I just adored this customized portrait session from last year. We finally had some nice weather and pretty colors. I happened upon this field and knew that this would be the PERFECT location for this family’s portraits. It’s so dreamy with the yellow wildflowers, soft grass and the sun cascading it’s warmth over the hills in the background as it rose up that morning. It was a very windy day, which made the balloon set-up a bit of a challenge, but it all worked out fine. I hope these images bring some brightness to your day and helps you look forward to the beautiful season ahead of us! This lil’ man was seven weeks when I captured him for his first portrait session. These images are a perfect example of the type of images you can capture with an infant who is a bit older than two weeks. Sure they may not be able to curl up like a brand new baby, but we are still able to capture those sleepy and wakeful moments that just melt one’s heart. His parents are so loving with each other and their new baby boy. It’s such a thing wonderful to witness and photograph. I think their love really shows through these images. I get a smile just looking at these. Hope they warm your heart as well!
