I adore all the colors that Spring and early Summer gives us here in St. Louis! Gives us such pretty backdrops. This lil’ beauty was celebrating her first birthday and I had the privilege to capture portraits of this special milestone at a local park in Clayton, MO. Since one  year olds are on the go, we set up a couple of set-ups for her to keep her entertained and happy during her session. Her outfit coordinated perfectly with the location and the balloons that we chose. And of course, what little girl doesn’t like a tea party! So touching and special to have the parents involved too! I can’t get over how fast babies grow. Seems like just yesterday that I captured her mom’s maternity portraits and then Miss S’s newborn portraits. Such a delightful family and little princess.

I have been looking for a field with wildflowers over the last few weeks, but due to the cooler temperatures we’ve had lately, things are blooming a bit later this year. I drove past this area less than a week ago in Florissant, MO and there weren’t any flowers. Two days ago I drove by this field again and was surprised to see these beautiful purple flowers. Amazing how quickly things sprout up! I knew that I wanted to capture the pretty pastels for this lil’ beauty’s customized portrait session as it was so fitting for her backdrop. The purple and white flowers work so well with the garland that I made for this vintage bassinet as well as the outfit that my client borrowed from me. It all worked out just beautifully. Miss “I” looks just like a porcelain doll and loved singing with her mom and me. Such a happy lil’ lady.
