This lil’ man’s first birthday was just a few days after this portrait session and he couldn’t be cuter! I just love how this family plays together. They are so much fun to watch and capture. I remember thinking the same thing about them the first time we met during Caleb’s three month photography session. While editing their images, my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. This family’s portrait session, in Augusta, MO, was so much fun. The apple orchard made for a perfect backdrop for this family of six. Not only did the kiddos get to pick apples, but they found a frog to play with as well. Since their mommy is a photographer, I brought along some of my vintage cameras for everyone to play with. Super sweet. I wish I had film in those cameras, as I would love to see what they would have captured. So happy that I was able to get so many images of everyone smiling and looking at the camera. Not always the easiest thing to do with six people, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve for such a task. I love the interaction between everyone in this family. You can really tell that they enjoy their time together and truly love each other. Don’t you just love the outfits they chose for their session?Perfect for an early Fall photography session! Shelby’s maternity portrait session took place on a beautiful morning last month just 10 days before she gave birth to her adorable baby boy. This beautiful mom-to-be had told me that she loved outdoor portraits, but her husband really likes those dramatic images, so we did a bit of both. I think it worked out beautifully. This family was a delight to capture during their first family portrait photography session. We lucked out with weather and even though baby Isaiah was a bit sleepy, he was full of joy and happiness. You can tell how much this family loves each other through their images. Pay close attention of the images of father and son laughing together. They have the SAME smile! When I pulled up those images on my computer while editing, I was just amazed at how these two really look alike! LOVE that. I also adore how this lil’ man closes his eyes when he laughs. Just too cute. Enjoy the music video.

Sydney’s newborn photography session took place when she was a week old at her family’s home. She’s a pretty laid back baby who enjoys snuggling with her parents, but is not into being restricted by swaddles. I suppose that if she wants to be hugged, she’d rather it be by her mum & dad. Can’t blame her! 
She’s still working on getting those days and nights figured out, but that’ll come with time. She has a wonderful support system who will lead the way for her throughout life. What else can a lil’ lady ask for?!

I was so happy that we were able to get Zach’s six month portraits taken before his family moves away from St. Louis. He has grown and changed so much in the last few months, but he still has that laid back personality and just goes with the flow. He really lights up when he’s with his mommy and I think we got some adorable shots of the two of them together. Enjoy the music video!

It may have been sweltering hot during this family’s summer portrait session, but you’d never know from these images. So much fun to be had with this family and their house made the perfect location. A couple days after their session they moved to the other side of the world, so I think it is even more special to have these portraits where this family’s roots began in Golden Eagle, IL. Ballwin Newborn Photographer | Myle's Music Video

Myles came a little late, but I know he was worth the wait! His newborn photography session took place when he was a mere three days old. He slept very well in the family’s sun room and really didn’t make much fuss unless he was hungry, which didn’t happen until the very end of his portraits. He looks just like his big brother Xavier. The main difference between the boys is Myles was about an entire pound heavier and he has some LONG legs and arms. This family is so blessed and it’s an honor to capture them as their household expands. Enjoy the music video.

We really lucked out with Kristen’s maternity photography session. The skies got very dark and thunderstorms started to roll in, but as we arrived at our location, things cleared up! How lucky were we! Beautiful location, beautiful light, beautiful mommy! I just love how pregnancy and mother nature work together in portraits. Seems so fitting with the natural miracle taking place in a woman’s body during this special time. Enjoy the music video!
