I love capturing lil’ ones in all their innocence and sweetness, but once in a while I like to mix things up and photograph other subjects and material. Keeps things fresh, creative and challenging while inspiring me as an artist. I met this beautiful lady quite a few years ago when I was still working in the video industry and we became instant friends. When she asked me to take some head shots of her, I was honored. Emilie Barta is a very talented actress and professional trade show presenter that I’m very proud of. She does amazing work and I know that her career will continue to flourish. There are a ton of images from this session that I love, but I wanted to share just two right now. The first one shows her as I know her with her warm smile and confidence that is so admirable. The second image is one that I love because it shows another side of her that not many people get to see. She would do this smile just before her big smile came out and I found it adorable, so I had to capture it. It’s that knowing smile that is so intriguing. Makes you want to know more about her and what she’s thinking. I’ll share more at a later date, but couldn’t resist bragging on my friend a bit. I had the privilege to photograph the staff at Stone Falls Chiropractic yesterday for their website and marketing materials.  Beautiful and talented ladies! They can take care of your orthotics, acupuncture, massage, nutrition and wellness needs in their beautiful offices at the Stone Falls Center in O’Fallon, IL. I especially love the fact that they do adjustments for infants as well. I know how beneficial chiropractic care can be for lil’ ones and it’s nice to find someone who has the specialized training to handle our babies in this manner!

I had a great time photographing Ms. A’s promotional head shots. Her husband and I worked together for almost 9 years in the video world here in St. Louis and are great friends, so when I got the call from his beautiful wife about capturing some images of her for some promotional material (Ms. A happens to be a very talented producer too!), I was thrilled! It’s always fun mixing in friendship, laughter, talk, coffee and good food in the equation when working. Oh, and I’m so not used to having an assistant with me on shoots anymore, but it was so nice to have that too… (another benefit of working with two video professionals!) It was great catching up with friends and an honor to capture this beautiful lady!
