St. Louis Child Photographer | Beginnings!

This morning I took my daughter out on a location scout and did a lil’ portrait session with her at this beautiful scene I happened upon. Isn’t it serene and gorgeous? I swear I heard angels sing as I came across this area. My daughter was excited to feed the ducks, run around and hug her beloved lambie. As I look at these images, I’m reminded of all that is just beginning – summer, hatched eggs that bring life to chicks and other birdies, blooming flowers into the new season, entrance of Kindergarten for my daughter this coming school year, teeth breaking through where baby ones have left, fireflies, etc… I just love all the seasons for different reasons, but today I realized just how beautiful the beginning of summer really is. Thank you mother nature for all you provide. I’m happy to make use of your beautiful scenery for personal use as well as for my wonderful clients. Let summer begin!

I can’t believe this lil’ beauty is already a year old. I first met her when she was still in her mommy’s belly. When I captured her for her newborn session she was a feisty cute little thing and now she’s grown into such a beautiful little lady. I love how the flowers complimented her dress and then…who doesn’t love a tea party?! Miss G was a bit unsure of the tea party at first, but then her curiosity took over and she began to play and explore with her surroundings. Of course as any mobile lil’ one does, she would run off from time to time to give something to mommy or daddy and to spin her windmill, but she’d come back eventually for some more tea fun. Can you believe that she’s been walking since nine months?! Strong girl! Enjoy the sneak peek!
Bella’s customized portrait session was so much fun and her mom took a lot of time planning out the different outfits and fun props. The outfits were to die for and all the accessories were perfect compliments. Mom wanted three different scenes for her daughter’s portraits and luckily I was able to find a location with all the requirements – tall wheat looking grass, flat grassy area and some woods thrown in the mix. What lil’ girl doesn’t like a tea party – especially one like this?! I saw a picture of a wedding that gave me inspiration for this set-up that is perfect for this princess. This child’s customized portrait session was a dream for me! I just love beautiful locations and when her mom showed me pictures of Bella’s outfits, I just knew this would be the perfect setting for her portraits! She reminds me of a wood princess fairy. So beautiful and dreamy! I love it when all the essential elements come together during a portrait session – beautiful location, perfect lighting and fitting wardrobe – they all add up to heavenly portraits that work with this mom’s vision. I had the pleasure to capture Bella three times this year and every single time, she amazes me. Such a wonderful model. Her family is moving away next month and I’ll miss them dearly. I hope their portraits give them lifetime of fond memories of their time in St. Louis.

Such a fun loving family in this music video! Such sweet boys who love their parents dearly, but are also at the age where they are showing their independence and allowing very limited snuggle time these days. I’m sure all of us parents can relate! This is my third portrait session with this family and I’m just amazed with how much these boys have grown, especially the youngest tot! Enjoy the music video.

This session ALMOST got delayed due to weather, but we lucked out the morning of this family’s portrait session as not only was it not raining, but it was sunny and warm too! Perfect for a morning at the park. This family is so much fun to capture and it’s such an honor to watch them grow through the years. These parents may have their hands full with two boys, but they are also full of love too. Enjoy the music video!
