This family was such a delight to capture. I was commissioned for portraits of their 7 month old son to match big brother’s portraits at that same age, but of course I had to get some family shots as well! 
A house full of boys keeps this mom and dad quite busy, but they seem to balance things well and enjoy their time together. I know there’s a lot of laughter in this household and it was an honor to photograph their close bonds to each other during their customized family portrait photography session at their home. Aren’t they just the cutest?

Ben is really into trains among other means of transportation, so we had a lot of fun with his customized child portrait session at this great location! It’s funny – last year he wanted to held by mommy or daddy during his session and this time, he really didn’t want too much to do with his parents. Pretty fitting for a two year old who is claiming his independence and exploring the world. Enjoy the music video!

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing an expressive two year old! Jakob had his mind made up on what he wanted to do for his portraits and it worked out really well as we got some adorable shots of him being himself. He frequents this park since he lives just down the street and so he felt comfortable in his surroundings and seemed to know all the ducks, geese and other birds very well. His mom walked over with her lil’ man in this ride flyer and I just thought it was the perfect prop for this location among the trees. Thank goodness for good weather this morning. The grass was a bit wet, but that’s even more fun for a toddler! Enjoy the sneak peek.

Gianna is such a sweet baby and it was a delight capturing her newborn portraits for her family. Even though this lil’ angel managed to spray poo on me almost as soon as we met, I know I won her over when I suggested we go outside! She slept so peacefully out in mother nature. I guess her love of the outdoors comes from her parents. What fun times they all have ahead of them! Enjoy the music video.

I’ve been photographing this lil’ man since he was an infant and I just am in amazement with how much he’s changed and grown in those two short years. He’s running, exploring, talking and testing his independence. I LOVE his curls and how they frame his face. Isn’t he just the cutest thing?! Since his mom told me that Ben loves trains, planes and automobiles, I suggested we head on over to the Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood for his customized portrait session. It turned out to be the perfect location for him and we got some AMAZING images! Can’t wait to show more, but in the meantime, enjoy the sneak peek.
This beautiful mommy’s maternity photography session was a couple months ago and now her precious baby girl is here! I got to meet this couple’s daughter, Gianna, while capturing her infant portraits on Saturday. Such a sweet lil’ lady with so much love coming her way. Her parents met while in college and the way they are together, you’d think they were still honeymooners. I just love that! Gianna is such a beautiful lil’ lady. She didn’t like being fussed over yesterday, but I don’t blame her. She’s been through a lot in her nine days of life, so I’d probably want to be left alone too. Thankfully she has the most wonderful, patient and loving parents to help her through it all and I know they will show her the ropes through her journey in this world. She really loved being outdoors. It was raining most of the day, but we were still able to get out in mother nature and she just slept soundly through it all. Her parents have spent a lot of time making their yard just perfect and it worked out great for Gianna’s portrait session! Welcome to the world lil’ one! Enjoy the sneak peek. More to come soon.

Lily likes to surprise me with flowers from time-to-time and the other day she came home from the grocery store with daddy with some pretty lil’ pink roses. I just love how thoughtful my lil’ daughter can be and I just love seeing these pretty flowers in vases around the house. Whenever I see these I think of her big smile of pride, her outstretched arms holding out these roses, and her lil’ voice as she said, “Mommy, I saw these and thought of you.” I can’t think of a more perfect gift than that!
