Tonight I had the privilege to capture this beautiful mommy in the glow of pregnancy! Kristen and her family hold a special place in my heart as I photographed their first son Xavier during his first year of life through several session documenting his milestones. I then got to photograph them again for their Fall Portraits last year. It’s just amazing to see how fast lil’ ones grow and it’s such an honor to be a part of that through the lens of my camera. I was overjoyed when Kristen contacted me letting me know she was expecting. I was looking forward to this session for quite some time and when I saw this location, I just knew it would be perfect for her maternity portraits. I can’t wait to meet their latest addition in a couple of months. Until then…enjoy the sneak peek.

Ava’s daddy is out numbered in his house – three lil’ girls! What a blessing to have sweet lil’ princesses around you. Ava is very much loved and I know her sisters have so much to teach her as time goes by. Great bonds have already begun. I can only imagine how they will be together in the future. This morning I captured the most adorable infant girl at her house just in time for Easter! It may have been rainy and cloudy, but baby Ava really brightened the day. She only made ONE mess on her parents, which I thought was pretty impressive. Her parents got a bit more sleep than usual the night before Ava’s newborn portrait session, but that also meant that her schedule (is there such a thing at the age of 10 days?) was a bit off and she was wanting to eat much more than usual. I think it’s actually a great thing for the family though, as that means that perhaps they’ll be a bit more rested with longer stretches of sleep at night. We can only hope! Enjoy the sneak peek. Last week I had a newborn photography session where we actually got to go outside for a few portraits! I just adore how babies look in mother nature and Spring is so fitting with all the budding trees, flowers, rebirth of foliage, etc… I’m so honored to capture these priceless images for families that they can cherish for generations to come.

Happy Birthday! Nolan celebrated his first birthday yesterday and this morning he had a portrait session to document this time in his life. He is such an easy going baby and even though he was a bit tired from partying so hard yesterday, he still had plenty of energy to play and allow me to get some gorgeous images of him! Not long ago I photographed this lil’ one while he was still in him mommy’s belly for her maternity photography session, and yesterday I had the opportunity to capture him at a mere one week old in this world! He’s such a great baby! Just like his brother actually (isn’t that a lucky family?!) This lil’ man is so peaceful, doesn’t fuss much and pretty much only cries when hungry. He made messes on big brother, mommy, daddy and myself, which I consider great luck! Congrats and enjoy the sneak peek!

It was a crazy and long winter and I am SO thankful for some warm Spring evenings finally. I love that we can stay out playing longer now that the sun sets later in the day. Makes for some fun family times that I cherish. It’s these simple moments that I will always remember. Spring nights outside with my loved ones means playing, giggling, good food, good eats and plenty of joy to go around. For this…I’m thankful.
