This morning’s maternity portrait session was so much fun with the beautiful architecture in St. Louis used as a backdrop. This pretty pregnant mama is expecting her second boy and big brother has decided to name the new baby Yoda. Mom and dad aren’t too keen on the name, but I’m thinking that the name will stick some how since big brother is such a big Star Wars fan. I’m so excited to capture lil’ “Yoda” in April! Enjoy the sneak peek!
OK, so I know this may seem a weird thing to be thankful for, but I really am loving my new pencil sharpener! Sometimes it’s the simple things that just make me so happy. I bought this pencil sharpener, that looks jut like a vintage camera, as a Christmas gift to myself back in December. I was so giddy when I opened the box as it REALLY looks like some of the vintage cameras in my collection. I had gone to the store and bought some classic wooden pencils and placed the whole display proudly on my desk. There’s just something about the classics that I love and so this is a great combination for me. I love writing with pencils and now it’s even more enjoyable for me while being a bit more nostalgic at the same time. And for this…I’m thankful!
This beautiful mom-to-be’s maternity photography session took place a few days ago at a beautiful park in Florissant, MO and we really lucked out with nice weather and pretty late winter colors. I stumbled upon this location last fall and even though there aren’t any leaves on the trees or greenery to be seen, it was still heavenly and magical. It was the perfect backdrop for maternity portraits where the beauty of expecting a child blends in so seamlessly with mother nature. Enjoy the music video!
Spring is around the corner and even though nothing is in bloom quite yet, I’ve been finding little patches of heaven provided by mother nature. Tonight’s maternity photography session is a perfect example of how beautiful things can be at this time of year. This mom-to-be was so much fun to capture during this special time in her life and I know she’s all set for her lil’ one to arrive. She’s already had her baby showers and when she arrived at her session, she was just coming from Toys R Us with more supplies! I remember that time very fondly… We got some stunning images and I can’t wait to share more. Enjoy the sneak peek! Pure beauty.
I’ve been working hard the last few months giving Yvonne Niemann Photography a new look to better reflect who I am as a person and photographer. It’s so nice to see it all come together and I couldn’t be more pleased. My new business cards came in earlier this week, which was the first thing I had seen in print with some of my new branding elements, and I sighed with a calming peace that was within me. It was exactly what I wanted and it was “me” throughout. Since then, the rest of my new materials have come in and each package that I open just gives me so much happiness, peace and pride. Photography has always been a way to express myself and it’s been a wonderful journey so far. Can’t wait to see where it takes me next.
Lil’ Miss Maggie is such a beautiful girl! The day of her newborn photography session she didn’t want to be messed with too much and her parents found out that their lil’ girl prefers to be swaddled and just loved on. Tell ya what…I can’t blame her. She was a perfect model and I know she gets a lot of love at home with her parents and visitors who can’t wait to see her every move as she grows! You know that life is good when a newborn is smiling as much as this lil’ lady! Congrats M family and enjoy the music video.
The other day, I had the pleasure to photograph a maternity portrait session down at the Landing in St. Louis. This beautiful mom-to-be came prepared with several outfit choices and her husband hung out watching his glowing wife with much patience. The day before was her french themed baby shower and then the day of her session we were dodging showers of melting ice and snow from the city buildings! Enjoy the music video! (please note: video file is large, so you may need to let it load and run completely before viewing for best experience)
I had so much fun with today’s maternity photography session at the St. Louis Landing! Since the weather has started to warm up, all the ice and snow is finally melting and that makes for a nice wet mess! Luckily for us, it provided some very pretty and unique backdrops in the city. This mom-to-be is so tiny in her late pregnancy and was up to all kinds of adventures today – braving a cold garage, sitting on dirty cobblestone, walking across ice (with the help of her wonderful husband), and jumping across puddles! What a trooper! Enjoy the sneak peek and thank you for allowing me to capture this special time in your life!
Since the weather has been so cold out, Alex’s family decided to hold his latest child photography session in the comfort of their home. We were able to sneak outside for some images as well, which gave Alex a lil’ break while exploring the wonder of snow! Watch the music video and get a glimpse into the life of Alex’s household. Oh, the wonder of a one year old!
I was going through things in the basement and came across this ceramic heart dish that my grandmother made the year I was born! Perfect timing since it’s almost Valentine’s Day and my daughter had just come home with candy from her Pre School party. In our house, we essentially celebrate Valentine’s Day every day. The love flows freely and we are super lovey dovey with each other. It’s just who we are. And for that…I’m thankful!
