Happy First Birthday! | Clayton Children’s Photographer
April 30, 2010
Today Mr. B turns ONE!!!! Happy birthday lil’ man! I had the great opportunity to capture this family the day before their baby turned one year old and thankfully we had gorgeous weather for his customized portrait session. Rain delayed us by a few days, but it was well worth the wait! I still can’t believe a whole year has already gone by (I also got to photograph Mr. B when he was a newborn) Mr. B was quite the snuggler today – wanting to be held throughout his session – so we were able to get a lot of great family moments captured. We were able to sneak in a few of the lil’ man by himself when he wasn’t paying attention too. I just LOVE his eyes. They really tell a story – happy, happy, happy baby who is so loved by his parents. You can really tell that this family has a lot of fun together! Enjoy the sneak peek! I can’t wait for the M family to see the rest – we got some great stuff!
This family was such a pleasure to photograph and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to capture this special time in their lives before their latest addition arrives! Enjoy the music video! Contest Winner! | St. Louis Professional Photographer
April 27, 2010
I entered this image for a photography contest earlier in the month. The theme was Spring and had to be shot using natural light. This portrait fit that bill. There were over 700 entries and my photo was among the top 50! I won $100 to use towards The Light Workshop! Yay!
You probably recognize this image from a recent post of a tea party in a beautiful apple orchard!
{I had this image enlarged to 20×24 and framed for my living room wall! This is just one of the frames included in the Yvonne Niemann Photography product lineup that will debut in June}
Expecting! | St. Louis Pregnancy Photography
April 27, 2010
Doesn’t she have the most beautiful pregnant belly? This was the very last image taken from M’s maternity session and I thought it was a great ending to her series of portraits. I just had to share as I know she’s waiting patiently to meet her new son as well as the rest of her images from her session. Enjoy!
Get Your Motors Running! | St. Louis Maternity Photographer
April 20, 2010
I realized that I didn’t share this image from last month’s maternity session and since I know the twins will be here soon, I thought I’d post it now. This family loves their Harley Davidson and I can see why! It’s beautiful! I love it when I can incorporate cherished personal items from families in their customized portrait sessions. Can’t wait to get some images of the twins on the hog soon!
Beautiful Pregnancy! | St Louis Maternity Portraits
April 12, 2010
When this beautiful family arrived for their customized portrait session and showed me their clothing selection, I knew I had picked the right location and was instantly inspired! The architecture with the arched openings, really played well with this glowing mommy’s tummy, outfits and jewelry. It was the perfect match. I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to the family in a couple months. He’s very blessed to have such a fun and loving family. I know his big brother and sister will take good care of him and show him the ropes! Enjoy the sneak peek!
Spring Tea Time! | Belleville Children’s Photographer
April 11, 2010
When I was a little girl I used to read Anne of Green Gables and then watched the series when it came out on TV in the 80′s. My best friend was Dana who had brown hair, was notably pretty and about as smart as they come. I called her Diana. She really was like the character Diana from my favorite series of books as a child. Now, I was the mischievous red head with freckles who had a wild imagination, so of course Dana called me Anne {with an “E”} because after all…I was a lot like Anne’s character. The main differences were I wasn’t an orphan and we didn’t live on Prince Edward Island in the early 1900′s. We were bosom buddies though and we were a good team!
Well, during my childhood, I always dreamed of living somewhere as pretty where I could have tea parties under pretty flowered trees or by a pond. It was something the grown up Anne would do. After all, we’re both romantics! I always looked forward to tea time at home and my grandmother even made me my very own tea set when I was little out of ceramics, which I still treasure to this day. Finally, my vision became a reality. The perfect tea party set-up! Eckert’s Farm in Belleville, IL was the perfect backdrop yesterday with the apple trees in full bloom! This time, I got to watch my daughter have her “Anne of Green Gables” tea party and it was pure magic! Lily looked forward to tea time all day and she was thrilled to have Audrey with her to share the experience. Here are some of my favorite images from last night’s sunset portrait session! The tea set in the portraits was the one I used to use as a little girl that my grandmother made me. The picnic basket was a wedding present almost 12 years ago! This was very much the sentimental session! If you’d like a tea party session for your lil’ ones just contact me!
{This one will be enlarged to a 20×24 portrait and framed for one of the walls in my house}
Spring has Sprung! | St. Louis Photographer
April 3, 2010
Went on a location scout this morning and came across magnolia trees in bloom! What a slice of heaven in St. Louis! This image will get blown up and displayed in my daughter’s room. It’ll look perfect with her light green walls and pink flowered bedding. My lil’ girl is growing up and she deserves some big girl artwork to decorate her space.
What a fun family to photograph during this special time and thankfully we got the session in before strict bed rest for this beautiful mommy to be! Can’t wait to meet the sweet twins and I’ll be praying for everyone’s health. It’s such a privilege to capture moments like these for families. Enjoy the music video!
