Autumn is in the air here in St. Louis and so are the newborns!!!! Mr. “T” was such a delight to capture today and really brightened things on such a dreary, rainy fall day. His lil’ sister is such a cutie and you can tell that she really loves him even though she does take joy in the occasional eye poke here and there. You can’t blame her though…it is a big sister’s job after all and at the age of two – curiosity just goes with the territory. Enjoy the sneak peek!

I had the pleasure to capture Mr. “C” this morning and he just couldn’t be any cuter!!!! This is such a fun age where personalities start appearing and their smiles light up every room they grace with their presence. I felt extremely fortunate today to photograph this lil’ peanut sleeping since his parents told me he doesn’t really nap these days. Either my personality is so soothing and magical that I’m able to put babes to sleep OR perhaps we just wore him out and he decided to allow us to capture his sleepiness. Regardless, it was a great treat and we got some precious images! Enjoy the sneak peek.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Dallas, TX to visit my good friend from college and meet her lil’ boys and this past weekend, she made the journey to St. Louis to see me and meet my lil’ girl. We had a great time and I’m already looking forward to our next visit together. I’m so glad the trees are pretty right now for her since she doesn’t get these beautiful Autumn foliage colors in TX. I know it’s something she misses from the Midwest.

I had such a great time with the “M” family yesterday. This was my third custom portrait session with Mr. Xavier and he is so alive with personality now! So fun to see how much he’s changed and what a hoot he is these days. The location that his parents chose was PERFECT! It’s the same place where this beautiful couple got married, so it’s very sentimental to the family. Beautiful weather, beautiful location, beautiful family, beautiful day! Enjoy the sneak peek.

I met this lil’ one just a bit over a year ago and I’m always amazed to see how much she’s changed each time I see her. She just graduated from the Baby’s First Year Program and it’s been such a treat to be a part of her milestones throughout this past year. I still can’t believe how tiny she was when I first met her and these pictures are just more proof of how much she’s grown into a lil’ lady. Childhood is such a miracle and that first year is probably the most amazing – those first moments here in this world, sleepy curly infant stages, getting their neck strength with tummy time, sitting up without assistance, crawling, exploring, standing, those first steps, and then those first words (I had the opportunity to hear this beauty talk for the first time tonight!!!). What a difference a year makes! I’m so glad we took these bed portraits at each of her four sessions so we could see her progression! Congrats Miss Ella! You’ve turned into quite the lil’ lady!

It’s a gloomy, rainy day here in St. Louis. So, what’s a photographer to do? Make her own cheer! Yes, that’s what I did and I think these will end up printed large and hung on my walls as artwork. I just love a splash of color. I think these will look wonderful against the gray walls in our house!
